The Durham Parent Show, or, A Place to Show off the Baby
Another parent show is coming to Durham Region, this one put on by a parenting insert from my old work.
The Durham Parent Show is at the Pickering Recreation Complex (map here) on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Exhibitors are tailored to new and expectant parents (not surprisingly, I can’t find an exhibitor list on the site, although the sponsors are listed).
Admission is just $4, with kids free.
The last baby show I went to was pretty good (held at the Pickering Markets, but the show link is now dead). There were lots of local vendors such as photography studios, music makers, 3-D ultrasounds and the beloved Once Upon a Child. Many free draws and info sessions rounded out the show — no mention of things like that at this one.
We’re going to check it out (wanna come?) to find some new local retailers, meet parents and of course show off our sweet little Lucy.
