Lucy bits
- Lucy is now jumping in her crib. She holds on to the top rail, and bounces up and down using her knees, along with a scrunchy-faced squeal of delight. Best morning wake up ever
- There is a new charge at Daycare Debbie’s, a little boy named Alexander that shares Lucy’s birthday. She is no longer the littlest one anymore, and Debbie says she’s jealous: if Alexander gets his milk or snack or diaper changed before Lucy, our little girl hits Debbie with round, soulful eyes and a pouty lip. At 15 months, people. I am mostly immune to this look, but watch out Eric and future boy/girlfriends
- The sweetest thing ever this weekend was when Lucy toddled over to her Great Grandpa Eddie and handed him a ball. Heart melting commenced
- The lovely Amy, who just moved into a gorgeous house, is graciously giving us her boxes. And some of them are neat “moving” boxes specially designed for mirrors, dishes, etc. I think I will save these beauties for my shoes. Or perhaps Lucy
- A woman I called for daycare in our new town told me about a sacred home daycare bible at a drop-in centre that lists all the local providers. Score! Am heading up there this afternoon to get some names. Did you know that most schools keep a list of people in the neighbourhood who provide home childcare, too? There are two schools on our new street, so I’m going there, too. Wish us luck
