This was my morning

Hope yours was better.

I never remember Lucy pooping in the tub, even when she was this new. But Alice, oh, poop-filled Alice. Every single bath. Even sponge baths, when she’s mostly covered and not placed so meanly in the baby bathtub to warrant such ass-plosions.

At least this morning she did it on the way out, and sprayed only me, the floor, the big tub, the baby tub and half her towel — completely missing herself and thankfully not requiring us to start all over.

Lucy, when I put her down for her nap, followed with one of the biggest craps I’ve ever seen. (Perhaps we have to cut out the prunes as an after-dinner snack?)

Alice, nestled in a Boppy on the floor, happily tooted and grunted, and filled her seventh poopy diaper of the day.

Eighth, actually, if you count the above.

Probably pooping.

My son pooped in the bath tub for the first time at 16 months. Then again about a month later. Now 19 months, I’m praying that’s the last of it. And when he was 2 months he had a rather flying poop and yes, managed to land in my mouth. How does poop end up in your mouth? I’m still figuring it out, but it happened.
I don’t know what’s with the warm sensation of water and babies, or in my case toddlers pooping.

Sounds like Lexy. Once, my hubby was changing her butt when she was about the same age as Alice. He had her on the bed, lifted her little legs to get the diaper out from under her when she let it fly … in a stream, all down his leg, up his shirt, over his shoulder, hit the wall six feet behind him, his clock radio, the floor.

I have no idea what she ate that day, but wow, a whole lotta poopin’ going on .. !

Another time, I was talking on the phone and Caity was sitting quietly on my lap. She was about two months old at this point. I heard her tummy gurgle. Then I felt a rumble on my leg and then heard a little grunt. I figured I’d let her finish doing what she was doing. A few minutes later I look down … the middle of her back is yellow. The top of her legs are yellow. My shirt is yellow. My jeans are yellow. I get off the phone and try to clean her up. I take the jammies off her arms and peeled it off her back. Then I see the goo. There’s a lot of goo. All up her back, down her legs, all over her bits, pretty much any place imaginable. I couldn’t put her on the change pad until I cleaned her up. Let’s just say it wasn’t pleasant. ;-)

Carly, enjoy these early days! It happened to all of us lol

ah yes, good times. My Emma is also a tap. Poopy every single diaper change in her entire 2.5 month long life. The spraying poop across my legs during nighttime changes?? A good few times a week, at least. Thanks, squirt.
