Ahhh yes, I’ve had many a day like that. I hope tomorrow is better!

Uh-oh – perhaps it is time to go down to one nap already? Hope this is not a trend.

Maybe it is coming to the one nap a day… my memory seems to remember that happening around 12 months??? She is so darn cute!!!

I’ve been watching and hoping for the morning nap drop (Lucy did this @ 10 months), but she’s not quite there. She goes down later than before, but still starts the eye rubbing, meltdowns etc. around 9 a.m.

Yesterday I think her teeth were bugging her. She’s currently popping her eye teeth. And she’s crawling up a storm. And saying “DEH!” And learning spit raspberries.

Busy girl! Busy no napping girl!

my baby naps every 2 hours for 20mins. It is quite frustrating.

OMG, Diana, that would drive me absolutely insane!!! How old is your baby? Have you tried anything to change this?

  7. On August 6th, 2009 at 9:27 am, Diana said:

She is only 4 months old. So I am hoping she’ll grow out of it. The 2 hour mark hits and she gets really cranky. The only time she doesn’t do this is when there are lots of people around like if we were at a party or the mall. She gets it from her dad’s side of the family. They are a long line of cat nappers.

Hmmmm. Sounds like she likes the noise. Have you tried a white noise machine? We still use something like that with Alice — actually, my husband found a recording of a dryer — and it works great.

Funnily enough, we had this exact discussion in my four month post of Alice! Check it out here:

the noise is what keeps her up. With people around or the t.v. on she wants to see what is going on. But then she gets really cranky and overtired.

That’s why we keep them .. because their cute.

I had my 2.5 year old tell me this morning at the sitters that she’d stomp her foot if we tried to put her in a time out.

Looks like I’m going to have to break this one too … *sigh*

Let me know if you need to borrow my “Free to good home” sign for Alice …

Aiden went down for a nap around 3pm yesterday afternoon…which was great for me I got to do laundry! HOWEVER. We had him in bed and read to him around 9. His eyes were open and he got out of bed several times, finally falling asleep around 10:30 pm!!!

But still awoke at the usual 6:30 am this morning…

Usually the later my son goes to bed, the earlier he gets up – it is a vicious cycle :-)

sounds like alice & rowan are kindred spirits…after 3 months of ‘nap training’, we’re back to the 20min morning nap, 15 min late morning siesta and 40min afternoon nap. BUT, he still sleeps for 12hrs/night. i wouldn’t trade it…
